Memorial day weekend (Friday night) we went camping with the Caudles at Oxbow Park. Trent's parents and his brother and wife. And some of the cousins came too. Kelsey looooved it! She is such an outdoorsy girl. I love it. And she loves it. She just wanted to walk around the whole time which was a little exhausting at times. haha. I need to stop being a lazy Mom I guess and just go have fun with her. I am learning more each and every day about being a Mom and having a child. I still have many things to learn =) Anyway. We had a lot of fun being outside and playing games and playing by the water. I thought for sure Kelsey would just try to jump in but she didn't! She actually listened to her Mommy! Trent and I showed her how to throw rocks in the water and paint on the rocks with water. She had a ball just doing that =) Such a cutie. Love just watching her. We did this a few different times. We also saw a deer that kept coming back to our campsite. Kelsey loved it and said deer for the first time after I said it to her. Her speech seems to be getting better. Baby steps. She also enjoyed splashing in puddles and eat marshmallows and chocolates by the fire. The Caudles do this every Memorial day which is a fun tradition. I really enjoy it and hope it can also be one of our traditions as well. We are now trying to try and plan another campout sometime this summer since Kelsey enjoyed it so much and so did we =) We also went back down to the campsite Sunday night for dinner with the family. It was a really nice dinner and I enjoyed spending time with them all. What a fun tradition!

AZ trip
Over Mother's Day we were able to drive to AZ for my niece's baby blessing. James and Mal had their first baby. A beautiful baby girl named Syrell =) She is so gorgeous and I am soo happy that we were able to make the trip there to give her some good kisses and hugs. And of course it is always great to see James and Mal. AZ is too far =/ I miss having my brother around and always look forward to when I get to hang out with him and his now family =) I love them all! I am looking forward to the middle of June when they will be traveling here for a week! So excited! Anyway, the trip there went alright. We decided to drive through the night in hopes that Kelsey would just sleep the whole time. Wrong! She slept for about 45 min at a time maybe and would wake up crying. poor girl. And then was awake for the day at 5:30 and only took a half hour nap in the car. So we now know that she doesn't do well in the car for the whole night. Lesson learned. We got there Friday afternoon and got cleaned up and went out to eat with everyone. We all slept good that night!
Throughout the week we were able to attend Syrell's baby blessing which was beautiful, go the a Diamond backs baseball game, swim, eat out, walk around some cool places, see the new Temple that is being built, get the best gelato ever, meet up with one of Trent's old mission companions, play games, and stay indoors! It was 100 degrees the whole week pretty much. Talk about hot. It was just so bright and hard to even look around outside. You for sure need sunglasses there. haha. All in all it was a great trip! Kelsey did fantastic all around and I was amazed at how well she did in the car. What a trooper. Didn't complain once about getting back in her car seat after stops. On the way home we split it up into two days so we stayed the night at a hotel. Good idea for the Kelsey girl for sure.
I loved being able to spend time with James and Mal and sweet baby Syrell. I loved being able to cuddle her and see her in real life. What a sweet baby! I am grateful for my family-no matter how far away some of them are! Makes me sad sometimes that I can't just go hang out with them whenever I want but makes me way more excited to see them when I get the chance. Love you guys!

Spring break/Easter
For Spring break we headed to the beach. Good ol Seaside never fails. Love that place and love the people I share it with. We were able to have fun and the weather wasn't too bad at all. Trent was there for the weekend and then went back home so he could go to work. I was there with my mom and brother, and aunt and cousins. It was a full house and at times seemed pretty busy. haha. But you gotta love the fam! Kelsey was able to play with her cousins and we were able to get out and have fun.
This Easter we spent it with my extended family. Before Easter tho we were also able to celebrate and do an egg hunt with the Caudles. We went to the church and spread eggs all over the grass outside. Kelsey really got the hang of it and loved picking up the eggs. She knew EXACTLY what was inside those eggs. She started opening them immediately and chomping away on the jelly beans and chocolate. I had to persuade her to go hunt for more. lol. She is such a funny girl. Easter morning we had a little Easter basket for Kelsey set up. I set up a marshmallow trail from her crib to her basket. That girl was more excited about the marshmallows than the basket. haha. she gathered them all in her hand and stuffed them in her mouth. It was pretty cute to watch her open her stuff even though I had to take it away so she wouldn't eat all the candy that was in there. lol. We then went to my parents ward and had a wonderful program. It was one of the best programs at church I have been to. They had different people talk as though they were in the scriptures and they were there at the time of the Savoir. It was beautiful and touched my heart. The spirit was strong and I was grateful I could attend that meeting. At my Grandmas we had a beautiful brunch as always. I love Easter brunch over there. It is my favorite holiday meal. Love it. My grandma got little goodies for all the kids. Kelsey picked some play necklaces which she loved. It was a great day and I was so happy that we could celebrate our Savoir and all that he has done for us. Such a wonderful holiday to remember him with.
