My TWO year old!

Say what?!?! Kelsey is a two year old!? Holy cow that sounds strange. I have been looking at her baby photos and videos lately and it is so strange to think she was ever so tiny. She sure is growing up fast. Smart, independent, strong willed =0. Haha. I take no responsibility for that one ;) But really she is growing into a little girl. She is no longer my little baby. Although she is still little. Here are her two year old stats:

Height: 33 inches
15%
Weight: 23 lbs
10%

She has always been my little munchkin. But she is proportionate and healthy and I love her =) I like to think she gets it from me. Not so much anymore though. Yikes! Took her to her appt today and everything checks out good! She is a little delayed on her speech though. She should be saying at least 2 word sentences. But she still only says some words. She doesn't have a huge vocabulary. But I think she is trying and I have heard new words randomly that make it reassuring. I think she just has a little Caudle gene in her with her speech. Hopefully she will grow out of it quicker than slower. The Doc told us to come back in in 6 months to check on it to see if anything else needs to be done. I hope she will start talking more soon. I can tell she gets really frustrated a lot and I think a lot of it is because she can't communicate with me. She is always dragging me around and pointing at things or screaming because she isn't getting what she wants. I am trying to work with her. When I ask her what she wants she stops crying which is good. She tries to show me and usually we can work things out. But it is still frustrating. I don't like her being frustrated. It is hard! I want her to be happy and not tantrum so much. Hopefully this will work itself out soon! Other than that though nothing pops up to the Dr. Even though of course I worry about lots of things. Here are her likes and dislikes as of right now-

-Anything Princess

-Being inside and not out in the cold

-lately napping. She has missed 3 naps in the past 4 days......

Kelsey has been very independent lately. The other day she dragged me to the fridge, asked me to open it, looked around for a few seconds, saw the spaghetti, pulled it out and walked over to her chair. It was pretty funny and weird that she was just acting all grown up. I love that girl. She jibber jabbers all over and is always making little high pitched girly sounds. She has a mind of her own and knows what she wants. I wish I knew too =) I love love love how she loves princesses. It makes me happy! haha! It is just funny how she knows who they all are and hasn't seen all of them. She is such a girl! And she shows it! She loves her grandparents and she knows who all her relatives are. I know she cares for all the family. She just prefers to be by herself most of the time. When it gets to rough housing or playing she is all in it though. Her daddy is making her a tough girl that is for sure. It seems as if she needs a lot of wind down time at night. I lay her down at 8 every night. It has always been that way. But for the last 3 or 4 months she hasn't been falling asleep til 9:30. I am not sure if it is because I started up school and she takes naps a little later than usual or if it just because she is getting older. She is one silly little girl. I listen to her babble the whole time. It is pretty funny. But I really wish she would go to bed =) Anyway I could talk about Kelsey for days. She is my life. She has made me a mother and she makes me the happiest I could be. I am so happy that she chose to come our family. I love her =) And I can't believe she is two! Looking forward to all the years ahead with her!
